ED&F Man’s beet sugar factory Zaselsky will not be operational for the next two years as the drop in global sugar price has made it uncompetitive, according to local press reports.
As of December 27, 2017, sugar output in Ukraine was 1.96 million tons, according to the National Association of Sugar Producers Ukrtsukor. This is similar to previous year’s output.
